Maharaja College was established in 1844 by Sawai Ram Singh, and it was located at Manak Chowk, close to Hawamahal. The college organized its 170th foundation day on 12 November 2013 and Dr. Dev Swaroop, Vice Chancellor, University of Rajasthan was its Chief Guest. Past Principals and retired Non-teaching member of this college were honoured on this occasion. Motivational Lectures and workshops are regularly organized for the benefit of students from time to time.
