Government Women Polytechnic College had first opened its doors in 1986 in Alkapuri area of Udaipur. In 1997 the college was shifted in its own building situated at Pratapnagar in Udaipur. Government Women Polytechnic College, Udaipur aims to increase the regions competitiveness by preparing diploma holders to move directly into professional and technical careers and to become ethical leaders in their professional, public and personal lives. Responsive and innovative teaching process that reigmes diversity of learning needs and styles are also put in place to meet the changing needs of students.
